Alcohol Prevention:
The No. 1 drug problem among today's youth: Alcohol. Lack of enforcement, easy access to alcohol, lack of youth education
and prevention programs, and parents who condone underage drinking as a "rite of passage" all contribute to alcohol being
the No. 1 drug of choice among youth today. SCD placed a seminar for youth “Alcohol Effects”, July 28, 2008 at KC Hotel Toba Tek Singh.
School Dropout:
Society for Community Development is working to support effective, sustainable, and coordinated dropout prevention
and reentry programs in high, middle and primary schools. SCD is organizing capacity building seminars and workshops for rejoining
school.
Simultaneously SCD is playing a good role of providing opportunities to youth, to arrange and participate
in singing, dancing, capacity building activities and seminars etc. to build up more confidence and transforming their lives
to a healthy environment.
